4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

AM: (7+, 1:00:52). Same route as yesterday (so a little longer than 7). I was supposed to do the last 15` fast, but the last 5 mins crosses some pretty busy intersections. I timed the run to finish the fast part before I got to the major intersections. Overall, I was almost 2 mins faster than yesterday. I think my whole run was faster, but I would estimate I was running 7:35 for the fast part (uphill). It felt pretty good really ... I have been working on form and arm carriage and when I concentrate on how to hold my arms I can really improve my stride and relaxation.

PM: (10+, 1:32:03). OUCH -- I got lost and could not find the car place!! I am such a dork. I can not believe this. I was running around downtown for over an hour and a half while it got dark (not in the best of neighborhoods) -- in my jog bra and shorts ... so even though I was tired I was too embarassed to walk around, I had to keep running. I am so tired right now. I was supposed to run 40`!! I guess I will be cutting my run tomorrow a little bit short ... dork dork dork.  i am glad Greg is with his Olympic athletes this week, I am sure he would not be as kind as to call me "just" a dork.

Were you in Utah? Close to your home? That would be pretty dorky to get lost in Utah, what with the coordinate system and all ;)

ha ha ha ha ... well, in my defense it was a weird street that "starts and stops", is not a number (Harvard) and I overestimated the N/S co-ordinates when it gets to 100E. But, yes, it was a dorky thing to do. I guess I will have to post the map ;-).
