5K: 21:26 (2005)

4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

59:20 ... very slow recovery run today.  Yesterday was a good workout, but I was pretty tired today.  The good thing about running later in the evening (7:30 PM) is that it is cooler, the bad thing is I don't get as many hours recovery between runs.  Since I was running so slowly I am pretty sure I did not get 7 miles in the alloted 60 mins -- so I am estimating about 6.5.

Looks like you're doing really well Bonnie! 8 minute pace on an easy run yesterday? Way to go!! :) What is your next big race?

From Bonnie on Wed, Aug 20, 2008 at 11:45:47

Hi Lauren, my next "big" race will be PF Changs (1/2), just like you? I am running a 1/2 this weekend, but I don't plan on running a PR but rather use it as a good training run - I haven't really had the long runs I would need to run a really good 1/2 because I have been building my stamina for running 2 times a day a few days a week.

I also am hoping to jump into some 5 - 10K (maybe cross-country) there in Tucson this fall after we move there - I am sure we will see each other there! We will be coming out to look for a place to live on September 10th -- I will PM with some details, maybe we can get together for a run in Reid Park (we will be staying at the Lodge in the Desert).

10 more days for you!! or is it 9??

Oh cooool! I didn't know you were moving to Tucson!! How exciting!! Well check out www.bluepantsracing.com , our schedule is on there, and you can also find my email/phone number under the "contact" page. Definitely let us know when you're here! When are you planning to actually move?

Yes, I'll be doing PF Chang's as well, the full. Sounds like it's a fairly popular race among the bloggers here, should be fun!!

We start our new positions on November 1st (at UA) - I "think" we will be arriving in Tucson sometime the last week in October. I will let you know for sure as we iron out details here ...I thought I had told you (man the brain cells are dying off faster than I can count!) - I am pretty sure I told Lazlo.

Hope to see you in a couple of weeks (after your wedding)!

Wow, that's great! What will you be doing at UofA? You couldn't have better timing for your move... the weather is BEAUTIFUL in October/November!! Well, as a future Tucsonan (and hopefully, Blue Pants groupie!) I will have to add you to my "favorite blogs" list! :)

From Bonnie on Wed, Aug 20, 2008 at 17:56:16

I will be teaching in the College of Public Health and working with researchers in the Cancer Center and Dean will be the Director of Statistical Consulting (we are both statisticians). We chose November because it was after the summer (we want to "ease" into Arizona summers).

Look forward to see you!
